Privacy Policy

EV Capital Tool · Blackstone Analytics, LLC

Effective date: August 21, 2026 · Last updated: August 21, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Blackstone Analytics, LLC (“Blackstone,” “we,” “us”) handles information in connection with EV Capital Tool, a local Windows desktop application used to project cash runway from QuickBooks Online accounting data.

EV Capital Tool is an internal company tool. It is not offered to the public as a consumer product. This policy is published so Intuit and authorized users can see how QuickBooks data is treated.

1. Who is responsible

Blackstone Analytics, LLC
404 Westcrest Drive, Kerrville, Texas 78028
Email: rbolen@blackstoneanalytics.com
Website: www.blackstoneanalytics.com

2. Information we access

When you click Connect to QuickBooks, you authorize EV Capital Tool (via Intuit OAuth 2.0) to read QuickBooks Online company data. The app requests the accounting scope only. It does not create, edit, or void invoices, bills, payments, or customers.

Depending on reports available, that read access may include:

  • Profit and Loss (accrual and cash)
  • Balance sheet, cash, accounts receivable, accounts payable
  • Open invoices and unpaid bills
  • Sales by customer / item and expenses by vendor
  • Company name and realm identifier needed to call Intuit’s API

The app also stores settings you type in (rig counts, contractor rates, utilization, and similar operating-model assumptions). Those settings are not QuickBooks data.

3. Where data is stored

  • On your computer. OAuth tokens are stored under the Windows user profile (%LOCALAPPDATA%\EVCapitalTool) and encrypted with Windows DPAPI so only that Windows user can decrypt them. Report caches and the operating model are stored next to the application data folder.
  • Not on a Blackstone cloud server. EV Capital Tool does not upload QuickBooks data to a Blackstone website, database, or analytics service.
  • Intuit. QuickBooks Online remains hosted by Intuit. Intuit’s own privacy policy applies to data in your QuickBooks company: https://www.intuit.com/privacy/

4. How we use information

We use the information solely to:

  • Display company financials and cash-runway projections inside EV Capital Tool
  • Refresh those views when you click Refresh from QuickBooks
  • Export a snapshot you choose to save (HTML/CSV on your PC)

We do not sell personal or company data. We do not use QuickBooks data for advertising. We do not train public AI models on your company books.

5. Sharing

EV Capital Tool does not share QuickBooks data with third parties except:

  • Intuit, as required to authenticate and retrieve reports you requested
  • People you yourself give the PC, exported snapshot, or copied folder to (for example, sharing the app internally with a partner)
  • If required by law

6. Retention

Tokens and cached reports remain on the PC until you Disconnect, delete the local app data folder, or uninstall. Disconnecting EV Capital Tool revokes the stored refresh token when possible. You can also disconnect the app from your QuickBooks Online connected-apps settings.

7. Security

Access tokens are short-lived. Refresh tokens are stored encrypted on disk. The application is read-only toward QuickBooks. No method is perfect; you are responsible for physical and Windows-account security on machines that run the app.

8. Children

EV Capital Tool is not directed at children and is not intended for anyone under 18.

9. Your choices

  • Do not click Connect if you do not want QuickBooks access.
  • Use Disconnect in the QuickBooks tab to clear local tokens.
  • Revoke access in QuickBooks Online → Settings → Apps.
  • Email rbolen@blackstoneanalytics.com with privacy questions.

10. Changes

We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date at the top will change. Continued use of EV Capital Tool after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

11. Intuit / QuickBooks

QuickBooks® is a registered trademark of Intuit Inc. Use of the Intuit API is subject to Intuit’s terms. Intuit Inc. is not responsible for EV Capital Tool, its content, its cash projections, or its handling of data once retrieved to your computer.
